What sensors/controls are designed into the FM radio??? HELP! PLEASEE!!!!?

I am working on a science project! I'm doing about the FM Radios !

Im done most of the project but there are couple of questions I didnt answer yet. I googled it but didnt find anything so please help me and answer these questions, any suggestions are helpful too :)

what material(s) are essential to the device?

What is scientific principle is central to its operation?

What sensors/controls are designed into the device?

THANK YOU!!!What sensors/controls are designed into the FM radio??? HELP! PLEASEE!!!!?
The kinds of materials used are no different to most other electrical devices. These are conductive metals like copper and aluminium and insulating materials like PVC plastic and mica.

Central to its operation is the detection of radio (electromagnetic) waves of a certain small range of frequency. For this an antenna or aerial is used. The slight differences in the frequency must also be detected. These differences are taken for comparison with the average in order to produce an output which is the signal needing to be amplified and modified for transmission as a sound-wave.

Thus the sensor is a device that compares frequencies and the control is the means of finding the small range of frequencies where a signal is being sent. What sensors/controls are designed into the FM radio??? HELP! PLEASEE!!!!?
1. Silicone or it`s equivalent

2. Electromagnetic propagation

3. Automatic gain control (AGC) and Automatic frequency control (AFC)
