My experiment in the beginning was to test the toxicity of vitamin c on cells. I used two different types of vitamin c: (lab grade) sodium L-ascorbate and store-brought vitamin c crystals. I placed paramecium into culture jars then in each jar i put one type of vitamin concentration. The concentrations i used were: 10000, 5000, 1000, 500, 100 and distilled water control and a control with just paramecium.
See Im wondering if i made a mistake and made this experiment a 2 variable experiment with the 2 types of vitamin c (being the first) and the different concentrations (being the second) since i was testing how toxic vitamin c can be to paramecium cells.
So is this a 2 variable experiment or controlled and if so how can i change it to make it a controlled experiment??? Thank you!!!
Im sorry but im very pressed for time so if you could help me in anyway TODAY that would save my life because i have a paper im writing on my research so i truly need to knoHELP with my designed experiment! I am not sure if its a controlled experiment?? PLEASE ANSWER?
Your design is controlled, but with multiple subgroups. Using two forms of vitamin C is the least of the confounding variables, and the results of your study would have been only a starting point for further study rather than a definitive study in any case, so you needn't beat yourself up over this one.

I entirely agree with your premise and must say that you have set forth your arguments in a cogent ,understandable format. There are a couple of items that I, with your permission, would like to bring to your attention. My I suggest that when your make reference to the President of our country , your spell his name in capitals, and in your last sentence, you have spelt USA in lower case. Other than that,we are in full agreement with you. And thank you for your contribution.

Canada is one of the most civilised countries I've ever been to. Do they have the strict controls to keep out an influx of unemployed, under educated Americans to protect national their identity?

its to satisfy american paranoia because they still beleive that STUPID story that the stupid moron of a president (bush) put out on sept 12th that the terrorists came into USA from canada - which was a total LIE.
All the terrorists came into USA throuigh USA entry points - most of them had visas and most of them came in through JFK.
But the US government still beleives their own lie ands wants to think that the terrorists came in through canada because the US government refuses to admit that THEY ALLOWED the terrorists in. Its a case of blame someone else for their mistakes.
Thats why the US have such strict control on their borders.
Thats why tourism is dropping so fast because visitors do not like being treated like crap the way the TSA treat visitors .

Yes, that is the purpose of that border. I also visited Canada and the people there are very nice. Really they look more peaceful and friendlier than the people in the USA.

Designing a controlled experiment?
With two nearby ponds in a forest as your study site, how would you design a controlled experiment to measure the effect of falling leaves on net primary production in a pond?Designing a controlled experiment?
i did not quite understand the hypothesis that you are testing. so my answer may be wrong but just giving it a try...
but perhaps you can use one of the ponds as your test and the second as a control.
you can measure the primary production in the 1st pond with falling leaves and with the second pond you must have no leaves falling into (somehow cover the pond with nets or have leaf catchers)
so you can now see the difference of what happens if the leaves do fall and if they affect the primary production.
see how you go or may be elaborate your question..

Central to its operation is the detection of radio (electromagnetic) waves of a certain small range of frequency. For this an antenna or aerial is used. The slight differences in the frequency must also be detected. These differences are taken for comparison with the average in order to produce an output which is the signal needing to be amplified and modified for transmission as a sound-wave.
